Welcome to the West Essex District Cricket Board's Web Site. I hope that you will be a habitual visitor and that you find the information you require. The site will be updated on a regular basis.

Aims and Objectives.

The West Essex District Cricket Board is one of 5 District Boards that make up the Essex County Cricket Board. The other boards are Metropolitan, Central, South and North. Their purpose is to run leagues, arrange district trials and organise district teams at under 11, 13 and 15 to compete with other districts. Districts can and do more than this, but they are entirely dependent on volunteers.

Clubs, Districts and Counties form an important part of the pyramid of excellence. By working together we can make cricket available to more youngsters and improve the advice and support we can give them.

Please give some thought as to whether you can volunteer some time.

Membership

Membership of the District Board is open to any organisation, club, or approved educational establishment within the area of the District Board. Membership is not open to individuals.

"Cricket is a game that owes much of its unique appeal to the fact that it should be played not only within the Laws, but also within the Spirit of the Game. Any action which is seen to abuse this spirit causes injury to the game itself."
